On 2nd October 2016, Mako (Andrew) van der Moezel started as our pastor, after moving to Broome with his wife Jessamy. Mako was inducted the following Sunday, by Mark Wilson – Director of Baptist Churches Western Australia. Prior to moving to Broome, Mako was the Family/Children’s Pastor at Lake Joondalup Baptist Church in Perth. He and Jessamy met via a mutual friend and were married in January 2013. Jessamy is not only active in the church, but works as a midwife at Broome Hospital. Mako not only sees to the spiritual needs of the Broome Baptist family, but provides physical food to the croc’s and alligators at the Malcolm Douglas Crocodile Park. They both love it up here in Broome including the warmth, and the “lack of ever needing to wear long pants …. living the dream!”
